Holy Cross, Vandalia, will have Lenten services on

Wednesdays at 10am and 6pm. Their schedule is on the bulletin board in the narthex.

St Peter’s Lutheran School is celebrating their 150^th anniversary of Christ-centered education. As part of that celebration, the school is presenting Nashville recording artist Jennie Williamson in concert on Friday, March 18. Following an afternoon concert for the school children, there will be an evening concert at 6:30 pm in the school gym. Jennie Williamson has an exciting music ministry impacting the hearts and lives of youth and families around the world. She brings an energy and excitement for Jesus that is contagious! The music and live events are filled with incredible messages of love and hope that reaches the hearts of every audience. All are welcome to attend.

Most people think still today that worship is “bottom up,” so to speak. They assume worship is humanly devised in order to give God praise. In contrast, the Scriptures teach that worship is “top down.” God seizes the initiative. Worship begins when God forgives, cleanses, and blesses His people.

First God speaks, then we respond.
